I'll always be grateful to J P Brown a teacher at my school who first taught me to develop and print B&W 35mm film and gave me a lifetime interest in photography.

Now 30 something years later I retain a love for all things photographic.  I have an extensive photography library which I find invaluable to dip into for inspiration or research - Mortensen to Adams, Bresson to Matt Stuart and many others.

My personal interest is exploration photography.  I like to explore the world with a camera whether on the street, countryside or in the macro world.

When critiquing other's photographs I always aim to view the whole image and understand the purpose rather than just the technical.  Every image presented is personal and important to the author and I always respect that.  From a snapshot to a fine art image, all represent part of the spectrum of photography.
